I’m not alone.
…I’m never alone.
Every person needs to reboot this
They are VerY real
The people I’ve met over the web and are great friends with, hell, even one is my boyfriend, are more fucking real than most of the people I meet on a daily basis in “reality”.
relationships established online are real and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise
Internet friends are real and they are some of the greatest friends ever.
ummm the kid doesnt say that…he says “I’m ok” after his father asks him who is his favorite.
Why this moment is so awesome to me: I hadn’t followed WWE for many years. I half-knew what was going on and who most of the wrestlers were but I would only occasionally watch it. Then I had a period of working until late at night, and when I got home I’d need a cup of tea to chill out before I could get to sleep - and the only thing on TV at that time of night was wrestling.
So I ended up watching regularly for a few weeks and being drawn in by the crazy storylines which were building up to WrestleMania. The last time I watched WrestleMania was X7 but I soon felt like I had to watch this new one too. So I took the Monday off work, bought myself a couple of bottles of wine, paid my £15 for the PPV and stayed up all night to watch it on my own.
I had a ball. I truly loved it all - the spectacle, the craziness, the wrestling, all made me so happy I’d rediscovered this crazy world of entertainment. But this match, with Shawn Michaels taking on his mentor, hero and best friend Ric Flair with the stipulation that Ric Flair had to retire if he lost, really imprinted wrestling on me permanently.
After a long, brutal match which went backwards and forwards, Ric Flair staggered back to his feet after taking a superkick to the chin and put his fists up in front of him, begging Michaels to come at him again. Shawn Michaels tried to stomp his foot on the floor to power it up it preparation for yet another superkick, but emotion made it hard for him to even bang his foot on the ground.
But finally he looked at his hero, mouthed “I’m sorry… I love you”, then booted him in the face to win the match! At that point, probably around 3.30am in the UK, I stood up in an empty room and applauded the TV set. One of the most brilliantly insane yet unique pieces of entertainment I’ve ever watched and one I’ll never forget - and the reason I now have a head and heart completely full of wrestling.
People talk about how they don’t like wrestling cos it’s staged but really look at these two and all they’ve both been through both as characters in the show and as actors and colleagues.
The two of them were probably both very emotional at this point even though they knew the outcome when they stepped into that ring.
People really hate on it for being staged but even if it is you can’t deny there is emotion put into it, the acting, the storylines. It’s no less ridiculous to watch than Doctor Who or Supernatural or any other show people here obsess over.
I never really liked Shawn Michaels’s character on the show but this moment is really touching and it’s a damn good performance from the two of them.
|Ichihime:||Rukia is dead, she cant be WITH ICHigo!|
|Ichiruki:||Um hellloooo, first episode/chapter 1, read/watch it! She transfers all her shinigami powers to Ichigo and he becomes a soul reaper, JUST LIKE HER! bESIDES isn't he a quincy, soul reaper, hollow, etc. So that argument is the biggest FAIL|
|Ichihime:||So what if he saved Rukia in the first arc, he did the same for Orihime in the Hueco Muendo Arc!|
|Ichiruki:||Let me remind how many times he forgot his objective of saving poor Orihime. Rukia reiatsu vanishes, turns around focuses on rukia, then Grimmjow fight rematch and then its all about saving the soul society from Aizen. Compared to SS arc, all his objective is beat the shit out of all those who get in his way to save Rukia. No other objectives, just one.|
|Ichihime:||They have a brotherly sister relationship, Rukia has Renji!|
|Ichiruki:||sigh. Please, Renji had his chance and lost it. And Ichigo's and Rukia's relationship is much more than bro-sis. They have a red string of fate, a BOND. Both go long ways to save each other. Rukia changed Ichigo's world and became an important part of his world. When she left, he was not the same and his friends noticed that. Rukia is the one who CHEERS HIM UP, DRIES HIS RAIN, AND GAVE HIM STRENGTH TO PROTECT THE ONE'S HE LOVE.|
